Mastering Ship Transactions
This course comprises of four modules, commencing with an understanding of elements of revenue and operating budgets, variance analysis and bench marking. The second module deals with the ship finance trends, options, impact of financial regulations, Poseidon principles and financial modelling. Understanding of the product, its acquisition and, routine inspections, especially what to look for, is addressed in the third module. The fourth module starts with the basics of contract law, detailed review of the sale forms, seller and buyer defaults, disputes and, their resolutions.
We have also included “Ship Management Contract” as a bonus module to discuss the construction of the Shipman 2009, perspective of investor/shipowner and manager, rights and obligations of the parties and importance of dealing with insurance.
